Psychiatric and psychological conditions present many challenges to patients and their families. Feelings of loneliness, confusion and depression can result in a loss of dignity and motivation, leaving families uncertain about what to do or where to turn.

Adults of all ages and their families can turn to the personalized attention and treatment provided by LifeCare’s specialized and secure Behavioral Health Program. Our board of expert psychiatrists work closely with a team of licensed psychologists, case managers and other mental health professionals to provide the highest quality patient care.

We offer both adult and geriatric programs with an average length of stay and the ability to provide care for the medically complex behavioral health patient. We provide intensive medication management, neuropsychiatric testing and psychology services along with comprehensive rehabilitation services including occupational, physical and speech therapies and therapeutic music and recreation group activities. Our patients benefit from our extensive case management services and weekly patient / family conferences with the treatment team.

Conditions treated include, but are not limited to:

Dementias:

• Alzheimer’s disease
• Vascular
• Undifferentiated

Behavioral problems accompanying:

• Brain injury
• Mental retardation
• Deliriums

Depression:

• Related to loss and grief
• Coping with physical and mental deterioration
  

Treatment resistant patients including:

• Bipolar disorders
• Schizophrenia
• Impulse control disorders
• State hospital diversions

Visiting Hours

Daily:  5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Weekends and holidays: 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Dementia unit: 12 pm – 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm daily
