LifeCare Hospitals of Wisconsin is conveniently located off I-94 and Hwy. T. Simply exit off Hwy. T to Golf Road and go West approximately 2 blocks. We are just East of the Country Springs Hotel. Our hospital has 62 licensed beds including a 10 bed ICU and 4 Bariatric Suites. We are accredited by The Joint Commission and are Medicare certified. We also work with a multitude of different insurance plans.

Like all LifeCare Hospitals, we specialize in the treatment of medically complex patients who require extended hospitalization, typically for more than 25 days. We are passionate about giving our patients the best chance at recovery from acute injury or illness by providing early and aggressive intervention in a critical care setting. Our treatment team includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dieticians and therapists across a range of disciplines - physical, speech, occupational, respiratory and psychosocial therapy. We believe this interdisciplinary approach helps speed physical, emotional and spiritual recovery. We embrace each of our patients as individuals with a personal history and a unique health situation and we provide the compassion, support, and nurturing necessary to achieve optimal recovery.

CLINICAL EXPERTISE:

• Nursing staff is critical care trained and ACLS certified
• Respiratory therapists are ACLS certified with over 25 years of experience
• Wound healing program directed by nationally recognized PT, MPT, CWS, FCCWS
• Transdisciplinary team includes physician specialties, Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse and Certified Nutritional Support Dietician

Admissions
At LifeCare Hospitals of Wisconsin, we pride ourselves on our customer-focused admissions team. Patients can be referred to our facility from a variety of sources, including family physicians, specialists, case managers, social workers, home health agencies, nursing homes or personal care homes. The patient or family member can also make a direct request for a consultation to any of our professionals.

The process is easy. Simply ask the physician to write an order to "Consult LifeCare Hospitals of Wisconsin" for transfer or admission. The individual receiving the order need only call us to arrange for a Clinical Liaison to evaluate you or your loved one. Our carefully trained Liaison will evaluate the patient within 2 hours. If clinically appropriate, it should take no more than 24 hours to have the patient admitted to one of our campuses. We accept Medicare and most private insurance, and will coordinate with your insurance company to ensure a seamless admission process. Our Liaison will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our program, and you are invited to tour our hospital. If we are unable to accept you or your loved one, we will be happy to recommend other options.
