LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton is located within Sycamore Hospital, part of the Kettering Medical Center Network. We have 44 licensed beds and a medical staff of more than 125 physicians. We are accredited by The Joint Commission and are Medicare certified.

Like all LifeCare Hospitals, we specialize in the treatment of medically complex patients who require extended hospitalization, typically for more than 25 days. We are passionate about giving our patients the best chance at recovery from acute injury or illness by providing early and aggressive intervention in a critical care setting. Our treatment team includes physicians, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and therapists across a range of disciplines — physical, speech, occupational, respiratory, recreational and psychological therapy. We believe this interdisciplinary approach helps speed physical, emotional and spiritual recovery. We embrace each of our patients as individuals with a personal history and a unique health situation and we provide the compassion, support, and nurturing necessary to achieve optimal recovery.

In addition to treating medically complex patients, we are known for our excellent vent and wound care programs. Referred to us from a variety hospital and other healthcare settings, we are uniquely organized to provide leading-edge care for those patients who simply do not improve in more traditional settings. Admissions
At LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton, we pride ourselves on our customer-focused admissions team. Patients can be referred to our facility from a variety of sources, including family physicians, specialists, case managers, social workers, home health agencies, nursing homes or personal care homes. The patient or family member can also make a direct request for a consultation to any of our professionals.

The process is easy. Simply ask the physician to write an order to "Consult LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton" for transfer or admission. The individual receiving the order need only call us to arrange for a Clinical Liaison to evaluate you or your loved one. Our carefully trained Liaison will evaluate the patient within 2 hours. If clinically appropriate, it should take no more than 24 hours to have the patient admitted to one of our campuses. We accept Medicare and most private insurance, and will coordinate with your insurance company to ensure a seamless admission process. Our Liaison will be happy to answer any questions you may have about our program, and you are invited to tour our hospital. If we are unable to accept you or your loved one, we will be happy to recommend other options.

Rate Information
In compliance with Ohio State law and in an effort to provide meaningful rate information to our patients, LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton is making available this list of charges for room and board, emergency department, operating room, delivery, physical therapy and other procedures as applicable.

Our charge schedule does not vary by patient but the patient's responsibility may be dependent on health plan benefit coverage.
