Managing Delirium in the Critically Ill 10-14-14

This program provides information to healthcare staff working with patients in the intensive care unit an understanding of delirium, methods for identifying risk factors, and common barriers for early recognition. At the conclusion of the program the learner should be able to describe symptoms, potential causes and possible clinical consequences of delirium in the critically ill, and discuss nursing implications associated with pharmacological and nonpharmacologic methods of prevention and management.
The program provides a 1-hour CE credit from the Commission for Case Manager Certification Activity code: W0002358 Approval Number: 20138678 and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Synergy CERP Category A, File Number 00018632. National Association of Social Workers approval is pending.
