Wayne McAlister, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
An accomplished healthcare executive, Wayne McAlister brings more than 38 years of hospital operations and management experience to his role as President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeCare Holdings, Inc. Prior to joining the company in early 2008, Mr. McAlister was Senior Vice President of Triad Hospitals, Inc. and Division President of a large group of its hospitals, where he was responsible for development, management and financial operations. Before joining Triad in 1999, he served as Regional Vice President of Paracelsus Healthcare Corporation, where he was responsible for nine acute medical/surgical hospitals, and Vice President of Operations at Tenet Healthcare Corporation, where he oversaw five medical/surgical hospitals. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President of Operations at Charter Medical Corporation. In this role, he was responsible for the opening of 14 psychiatric and medical/surgical hospitals and the financial turnaround of a number of existing facilities. Mr. McAlister earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from Oklahoma University. He is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Federation of the American Health Systems and a former member of the Board of Trustees of the National Association of Private Psychiatric Hospitals. |

Phillip B. Douglas, President
Mr. Douglas has served as Chief Financial Officer since January 2006. Prior to joining LifeCare, he was Chief Financial Officer of Workscape, Inc., a technology-based human resources outsourcing company, from 2000 until 2005. From 1996 until 1999, Mr. Douglas was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Management and Technology Solutions, Inc., a developer and provider of IT solutions to physician organizations. From 1992 to 1995, Mr. Douglas was Chief Financial Officer and co-founder of HealthSpring, Inc., a physician
practice management company that was later acquired by The MetraHealth Companies ("MetraHealth"). MetraHealth was ultimately acquired by United HealthCare Corporation, where Mr. Douglas served as Senior Vice President of Finance for the combined companies
from 1995 to 1996.
Grant B. Asay, Senior Vice President of Regional Hospital Operations
Mr. Asay is a healthcare veteran with more 22 years of experience. From 2002 until joining LifeCare in June 2006, he served as a Regional Director for Select Medical Corporation, one of the largest providers of long term acute care hospital services in the country. Prior to joining Select, Mr. Asay served as the Chief Executive Officer of community hospitals in Montana, Nevada and Alaska.
Catherine Conner, Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Ms. Conner joined LifeCare in May 2006. She was previously the Executive Director of Strategic Staffing with Applebee's International, Inc., a restaurant company with 30,000 employees and over 500 locations. At Applebee's, she also held the roles of Executive Director/Total Rewards and Executive Director of Franchise HR. Ms. Conner also served as Director of HR for a Boston Market franchisee and headed up staffing for Houlihans restaurant group. In addition to her years in the hospitality industry, Ms. Conner worked in the healthcare industry as Vice President of Human Resources with Rehab Designs of America, a prosthetic and orthotic provider.
Leroy F. Thompson, Jr., Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations
A CPA with more than 13 years' experience in the long term acute care industry and over 26 years in healthcare and hospital administration, Mr. Thompson has been instrumental in shaping the Company's vision, clinical programs and culture. He has held his current position since 1999, and served as LifeCare Chief Financial Officer from 1993 to 1999. During this time he helped raise more than $50 million in private equity and debt and assisted with establishing the Company's first clinical and operational systems. Prior to joining LifeCare, Mr. Thompson worked with the international accounting firm of Ernst and Young specializing in healthcare consulting and financial services.
Chris A. Walker, Chief Financial Officer
Chris Walker has served as Senior Vice President - Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer since 1997. Prior to joining LifeCare, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant with KPMG LLP from 1991 until 1997.
Judy Hogan RN, MSN, Senior Vice President of Clinical Services
Ms. Hogan joined LifeCare in September 2006. She was previously employed by Kindred Healthcare as Regional Director of Clinical Operations. Ms. Hogan has 26 years of experience in healthcare, serving in the capacities of Director of Quality Management, Chief Clinical Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
T. Brian Callister, M.D. National Medical Director
Dr. Callister is a Board Certified Internal Medicine specialist who is nationally recognized as an expert in long term acute care. In addition to being the past chief of staff and a current board member of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Reno, Dr. Callister has also served as the president of the Washoe County Medical Society (Nevada) and has been the chief medical officer of the Tahoe Pacific Hospital System for ten years. In 1995, Dr. Callister founded the Sierra Hospitalist medical group, one of the nation’s largest private hospitalist physician practices, and continues to serve as the group’s managing general partner today. Dr. Callister has served as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Nevada for over 15 years and is a nationally recognized lecturer on multiple subjects ranging from long term acute care and hospitalist programs to motivational speaking. |

Chris Corrigan, Corporate Counsel & VP Compliance
Mr. Corrigan joined the legal department of LifeCare in 2006. He currently serves in the capacity of Senior Legal Officer and Corporate Compliance Officer. Prior to joining LifeCare, Mr. Corrigan spent 17 years in the private practice of law. In addition to his private practice, Mr. Corrigan served for five years as a Guest Professor in the School of Management at Purdue University. Mr. Corrigan is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law, and is licensed to practice in the states of Texas and Indiana. |
